The Central Coordinate Movement (CCM), a prominent sociopolitical group in Ogun Central Senatorial District, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Chairman of the Ogun State Park Management (OGSPAM), Alhaji Abodunrin, popularly known as Iyeru.
Alhaji Iyeru reportedly passed away on the night of Saturday, September 12, 2026, after a brief illness.
In a statement mourning his passage, the Chairman of the Central Coordinate Movement (CCM), Alhaji Taiwo Elewide, popularly known as Big Champion Akile Egbaland, described the death of Iyeru as a painful and unfortunate exit.
Elewide said the news of the passing of the OGSPAM Chairman came as a shock to members and leaders of the movement, noting that the late Iyeru would be remembered for his contributions and commitment to the people and the development of Ogun State.
The CCM Chairman described the deceased as a notable personality whose sudden departure has created a vacuum that would be deeply felt by his family, associates, colleagues and the entire Ogun State Park Management community.
According to him, the death of Alhaji Abodunrin Iyeru is a great loss, not only to those who worked closely with him but also to the people whose lives he touched during his lifetime.
The Central Coordinate Movement therefore extended its heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Ogun State Government, members and management of OGSPAM, as well as friends and associates of the late chairman.
The sociopolitical group prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him eternal rest in Aljanah Firdaus.
CCM also prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the family, loved ones and associates of the late Alhaji Abodunrin, popularly known as Iyeru, the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“His passing is indeed a painful exit. We pray Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest and give everyone he left behind the strength to bear this great loss,” the group stated.
The death of Alhaji Abodunrin Iyeru has continued to attract reactions and condolences from individuals, groups and associates across Ogun State.
