It could be recalled about a year ago when the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR) appointed a five men team transition committee headed each by a Chairman accross the twenty Local Governments in the State and Abeokuta South which is the premier Local Government Area of the state was more than blessed to have Hon Ayodeji Michael Shomide as the Chairman of the transition committee due to the outstanding achievements and developments so far in the premier Local Government in the time frame of just a year.
To mention a few, building of urgently needed infrastructures for prompt and daily usage of concerned areas such as Isale Ijeun where an ultra modern public toilet alongside borehole water was built for the convenient usage of the people and the environs and the people of Isale itoko and it's environs also benefited from this social amenities project as borehole water was provided for their daily usage.
In a bid to promote the economic standard of the Local Government in terms of buying and selling to maintain an easy sustainable livelihood for market men and women, stalls and shops were constructed all over the strategic buying and selling points of the Local Government.
The health sector wasn't left untouched as the health center at Ilogbo was renovated to a standardized one as it was fully equipped with good medical facilities and the first Cesarean section which was the first of it's kind in the history of health centers in the Local Government was carried out successfully.
Empowerments of all kinds was provided to the less privileged and vulnerable people in their areas of specialization in order to make them have a meaningful source of living.
Cultural heritage was also cherished by the young chap as he introduced and promoted Adire fabrics in the local government and he ensured its usage in major sectors and sections of the Local Government Area.
Ayodeji Michael Shomide is relentlessly working and putting in the best of his efforts so as to achieve distinctive results for the Goodwill of Abeokuta South Local Government and the people and this traits has been exhibited in his administration in the last one year.
