Ogun Govt Unveils DAYF ‘Business Grants’ Initiative, Preaches Unity Among The Youth
Ogun state Government has openly unveils #20million ‘Business Grant’ Initiative Of Dapo Abiodun Youth Forum (DAYF). The business grant initiative is conceived to empower young business owner with registration to help cushion the ripple effect of subsidy removal that has largely affected many businesses. The business grant of #20m for 200 people alongside other empowerment materials is designed to encourage young individuals in business across all the 20 local government of the state, extending the ‘Ajosewani’ developmental ideals and laudable efforts of Dapo Abiodun led government.
In preparation for the 6th Edition of the Programme, the Central Working committee of DAYF led by the Convener, and Special Assistant to the Governor on Sport, Aroboto Rasheed paid a working visit to the office of the Commissioner for Sport Development and Youth affairs, Hon Wasiu Isiaka.
While addressing the youth, the Commissioner lauded the inclusive initiative of DAYF, he described it as a clear Paradigm Shift. In his words, “we are gradually moving from the era of exuberances in youth. From commercial thuggery to driving government’s policies and becoming important tools in reshaping progressive conversation.
Our youth are responsive and resilient in adding value to the society — tapping into many innovative ideas using Tech and digital exposure to tackle brain drain. The business grant will in huge measure help encourage other young individuals to develop working ideas for sustainable development.
Hon Wasiu Isiaka before unveiling the #20million Business Grant, urged the DAYF team to work with other youth structure in the state. “Let’s learn to harness ideas and be inclusive in our movement. It is better to move together in Unity than to be divided by unnecessary rivalry. In unity lies progress. Dapo Abiodun led administration will always priorities youth Centre Programmes devoid of issue and rancour.
In his closing address after the unveiling, Com Aroboto expressed confidence in the success of the Programme, and assured the Commissioner of peacemaking and reaching out to all necessary stakeholders. He appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun, all Progressive individuals that have identified with the forum .
