OGUN GOVERNOR’S AIDE, ENGR. JAMIU OGUNDELE, BAGS DISTINGUISHED LEADERSHIP AWARD

JPI honours official for visionary leadership, commitment to national development

Engr. Jamiu Ogundele, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Ogun State Governor, has been honoured with the Distinguished Corporate Leadership and Nation-Building Award by Jamie Pajoel International (JPI), Ogun State Chapter.

The award, presented on Saturday, October 17, 2026, recognises Ogundele’s visionary leadership, strategic excellence, commitment to organisational success and contributions to national development.

According to the inscription on the award plaque, the honour celebrates the recipient’s integrity, transformative service and dedication to societal progress, describing these qualities as attributes of distinguished leadership capable of inspiring meaningful change.

The recognition also acknowledges his outstanding achievements and enduring contributions to national advancement and prosperity.

The award was presented by Jamie Pajoel International, Ogun State Chapter, an organisation that used the occasion to recognise what it described as the leadership qualities and developmental commitment of the governor’s aide.

The plaque was endorsed by the State President of JPI, Ogun State Chapter, Comrade Agboola Olakunle O., and the organisation’s Founder and Global President, Dr. Jamie Pajoel.

The honour places emphasis on the importance of visionary leadership, integrity and strategic thinking in public service, particularly at a time when governments at different levels are seeking effective ways to strengthen institutions, promote development and improve the welfare of citizens.

For public office holders and government aides, such recognition underscores the expectations that accompany public responsibility, including dedication to duty, effective coordination, accountability and the pursuit of policies and initiatives that advance the common good.

Ogundele’s recognition also highlights the role of professional and civic organisations in celebrating individuals they consider to have demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to broader societal progress.

While the award plaque did not provide specific details of the projects, initiatives or individual achievements that informed the selection, JPI stated that the honour was in recognition of the recipient’s leadership, service and contribution to national development.

The Distinguished Corporate Leadership and Nation-Building Award therefore serves as a formal commendation of the qualities the organisation associates with Ogundele’s public service and leadership profile.

Jamie Pajoel International, through its Ogun State Chapter, expressed its recognition of the recipient’s contributions through the presentation of the award on October 17.

The development adds to the public recognition received by individuals serving in government and other sectors whose work and leadership are considered relevant to institutional growth and national advancement.

As expectations continue to rise for effective governance and responsible leadership, the award highlights the significance of integrity, dedication and a sustained commitment to development in building public confidence and advancing the interests of society.
