Q: Hon Makinde, what makes you think you're the best candidate for this position?
A: My track record speaks for itself. I've consistently delivered on my promises, and my commitment to the Progressive family is unwavering. I've worked tirelessly to improve the lives of our constituents, and I'm ready to take it to the next level.
Q: What are some of your notable achievements in your previous term?
A: I initiated the modern city gate project, pushed for the establishment of the Yakooyo hospital, and ensured the Aluti Erin hospital project was underway. These projects will transform our community, and I'm committed to seeing them through.
Q: How do you plan to appeal to APC leaders and supporters?
A: I believe in unity and progress. I'm willing to work with anyone who shares our vision for a better constituency. My experience and passion for public service make me an asset to any team.
Q: What message do you have for the Obas and traditional leaders in our constituency?
A: I respect and value their wisdom and leadership. I'm committed to working with them to address the needs of our community and ensure our traditions are preserved.
Q: Why should the public trust you?
A: I've consistently put the needs of our constituency first. My integrity and dedication to public service are unmatched. I'm not just asking for votes; I'm offering a proven track record and a commitment to serve.
Q: How do you plan to address the concerns of the youth and women in our constituency?
A: Empowering our youth and women is crucial to our progress. I've initiated programs to support entrepreneurs, provide skills training, and promote education. I'll continue to prioritize their needs and ensure they're included in decision-making processes.
Q: What's your vision for our constituency's future?
A: I envision a prosperous, inclusive community where everyone has access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. I'll work tirelessly to make that vision a reality.
Q: Hon Makinde, you've been with the Progressives party for a long time. What drives your loyalty?
A: My commitment to the party's principles and values keeps me steadfast. I've seen the impact of our party's governance and I'm convinced we're on the right path.
Q: How do you think your experience will benefit our constituency?
A: My years of service have given me a deep understanding of our constituency's needs and challenges. I'll hit the ground running, leveraging my experience to deliver results.
Q: What legacies are you most proud of, and how will you build on them?
A: I'm proud of the projects I've initiated and the lives I've touched. I'll build on those legacies by completing ongoing projects and initiating new ones that benefit our community..
Q: You've stayed with the Progressives party through thick and thin. What does that say about your character?
A: It shows I'm committed to its principles, not just positions. I'm not a opportunist; I'm a servant who wants to make a difference From AD, AC, ACN and now APC
Q: How do you respond to critics who say you've been loyal to a party that hasn't rewarded you?
A: I've been rewarded to certain extent, I served in various capacities , Judiciary, School boards etc with the trust of our people and the opportunity to serve.I was part of the foundation and formation of South West Agendas 23 (Swaga) . I must thank my leader especially the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Alh Oyetola for the so far so good.I remain loyal to his ideology. That's what drives me, not personal gain.
Q: What's your message to APC leaders considering your candidacy?
A: My experience, legacies, and steadfastness in the party are assets to our constituency. Ile Ife certainly need a ranking personality and someone who is not new in the progressive family. I am well equipped. I'm ready to work with anyone who shares our vision for progress and unity and to surport the Ooni of Ife and other monarchs who have been doing wonderful job to reposition the ancient town, Ile ife need someone like me in government .
Q: How will you leverage your experience to address our constituency's challenges?
A: I'll apply the knowledge and skills I've gained over the years outside government to tackle our challenges head-on. I'm not a newcomer; I'm a seasoned leader ready to deliver.
Q: Hon Makinde, what sets you apart from your competitors, especially those who recently joined your party?
A: The difference is clear: I'm a product of our party, born and raised. I know where the shoe pinches our people, and I've consistently delivered on my promises. My competitors may have joined recently, but I've been steadfast, working tirelessly for our community. My four-year record speaks for itself – unbeaten in terms of welfarism and care for our seniors. I've walked the talk, and I'm ready to continue serving our people.. My record for just a term versus theirs is there for puplic to judge. I am a giver.
Q: What should APC leaders consider when evaluating your candidacy?
A: I hope they'll consider my consistency, sacrifices, and the impact I've made in just one term. My record as a welfare champion, coupled with the motions and bills I've sponsored, demonstrates my commitment to our constituency. I've achieved a lot in a short time, and I'm ready to do more...
