Friends of Jude Rudolf Solomon, an ex-staff of Nigerian Oil magnate, Femi Otedola has denied the widely circulated news of Chief Femi Otedola donating N10million that was presented at the late Lebanese business man memorial event for JUDE RUDOLF SOLOMON TRUST for the venerable last Saturday.

Jude Rudolf Solomon died recently of Covid-19 complication and was honoured with a memorial event last weekend in Lagos.

However, after the burial memorial event, news emanated that, the Chairman of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Limited, Femi Otedola, gifted the family of the ex-Lebanese staff, a cash gift of N10million.

According to the news, the N10million presentation was made during the night of tributes held for the late Solomon in Lagos.

Solomon had worked closely with Otedola before late Lebanese-born ex-staff left to set up his own business in the energy and real estate sectors of the economy.

Refuting the claim, the  a Legal adviser of the burial organizing committee, Barr. Tunde Ojo said Otedola never contributed a dime to the hospital bill of the deceased nor to the memorial arrangement.

Ojo explained that, the N10million gotten for his memorial service was from presented by Mr. Saheed Adelanwa on behalf of the deceased friends to Cardinalstone Trustees and not from Femi Otedola.

He stressed further that, himself and a host of few friends organised and  bankrolled the burial expenses their friend.

He, therefore, called on members of the public to disregard any news claiming Otedola donated money for the memorial event.
