The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has unveiled its campaign council ahead of the 2027 elections, with Governor Dapo Abiodun, former governors Olusegun Osoba and Gbenga Daniel, and Senator Ibikunle Amosun among those appointed to lead the party’s efforts.
According to a document signed by the state chairman, Yemi Sanusi, Abiodun will serve as Chairman of the Campaign Council, while the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Adeola (popularly known as Yayi), is Co-Chair.
Senator Lekan Mustapha was named Director-General.Chief Olusegun Osoba was designated Grand Patron of the council, while Daniel and Amosun were appointed Deputy Grand Patrons.
Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele and APC deputy governorship candidate Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun will serve as Deputy Chairmen.
Other key figures include Sanusi himself as Vice Chairman, Secretary to the State Government Tokunbo Talabi as Vice Director-General (Campaign Operations), and Minister of State for Health Dr. Kunle Salako as Vice Director-General (Administration).
The 156-member council also features committees tasked with grassroots mobilisation, media and publicity, logistics, youth and women engagement, and outreach across Ogun’s 20 local government areas.
Sanusi said the structure was designed to strengthen the party’s machinery and ensure effective coordination ahead of the polls.
“The members of the various committees are urged to work collectively towards securing an overwhelming victory for the APC in the presidential, governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly elections,” he stated.
The unveiling marks a major step in the APC’s preparations for 2027 as the party intensifies mobilisation across the state.
