Alhaji Abdul-Hammed Femi Omotayo, popularly known as OmoOwo, the Peoples Democratic Party Senatorial candidate for Ogun State, has strengthened his grassroots appeal across Ogun State following a notable ₦10 million donation to support the Egba Central Mosque expansion project in Abeokuta.
The donation was made during the Egba Central Mosque annual Ariya Odun held at Ake Palace Square, where religious leaders, community stakeholders, and dignitaries gathered for the event.
The ₦10 million contribution was warmly received and widely commended, further projecting OmoOwo as a politician committed to inclusive development and respectful engagement across religious lines.
The gesture has further reinforced his image as a calm and confident political figure whose campaign message is anchored on Equity, Justice, Peace and Progress as he seeks to represent Ogun East at the Senate.
In a second major engagement, OmoOwo attended the 2026 Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu Ode, held at the historic Awujale palace grounds, where thousands of indigenes, traditional rulers, cultural groups, and diaspora guests gathered to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Ijebuland.
The festival featured colourful regberegbe displays, horse riding processions, and prayers for peace and progress across Ijebu and Ogun State. His presence was widely seen as a strong show of connection with the people of Ogun East, reinforcing his growing acceptance and grassroots visibility.
OmoOwo noted that his engagements across cultural and religious platforms reflect a deliberate commitment to unity, inclusiveness, and balanced development for all communities.
He reaffirmed that his senatorial ambition is driven by a strong desire to ensure effective representation for the people of Ijebu and Remo, while promoting fairness, equity, and meaningful development across Ogun East.
