Moniepoint Microfinance Bank has set a bold new pace for retail banking growth in Nigeria with the successful conclusion of its 2026 State Retail Officers Masterclass (SROM) in Abuja, repositioning its retail managers as frontline drivers of intelligence-led expansion and operational excellence nationwide.
The three-day capacity–building programme, held from January 8 to 10, 2026, carried the theme "Sales and Operational Intelligence” and delivered a transformative leadership blueprint designed to entrench structured performance systems, sharpen professional identity and unleash scalable growth across Moniepoint’s retail network.
Opening the masterclass, Convener and Regional Retail Officer, North Central, Evah Progress, charged participants to abandon random effort and embrace system-driven leadership, stressing that productivity anchored on knowledge, mindset and motive remains the surest path to predictable success. He warned that any result that cannot be consistently reproduced should be treated as accidental rather than strategic.
Progress urged retail officers to institutionalise scalable habits, structured processes and empowered teams capable of delivering repeatable outcomes, noting that leadership identity plays a defining role in shaping thinking, conduct and performance at branch level.
A major highlight of the programme was the high-impact session by Ezekiel Sanni, Senior Vice President, DNS, who delivered a compelling presentation on “Building Strong Sales Strategies and Execution Excellence,” outlining aggressive growth frameworks, accountability structures and field execution models for superior performance.
On the second day, Moniepoint’s Chief Growth Officer, Camelia Ganga, joined virtually from the United Kingdom to unveil the bank’s ambitious 2026 growth projections. She spotlighted massive opportunities within Nigeria’s digital banking economy and challenged retail leaders to align branch operations with innovation, service delivery and market expansion targets.
The final day exploded with strategy-driven workshops led by Odochukwu Chikwendu (The Sales Guru) and other senior executives, focusing on market domination strategies, branch performance optimisation and high-yield sales execution frameworks engineered to drive measurable growth.
Other facilitators at the masterclass included Tolu Alegbe, Vice President, Moniepoint Loans; Abdulmumin Tijjani, Regional Manager/Product Sales Manager, Retail Banking; Muti’u Tijani, Regional Manager/Product Sales Manager – Loans; Oluwatosin Oyekanmi, Head of Growth, Moniepoint Retail Banking; Umuqulsum Abdulwahab, Human Resources Business Partner, North Central; Edwin Onyegbuna, Regional Compliance Officer; Betty Kenneth, Sales Operations Officer; Hamza Abdullahi, Regional Training Officer, among others.
The programme climaxed with a colourful Cultural Day celebration that showcased Nigeria’s rich cultural diversity while projecting Moniepoint’s expansive retail growth outlook for the year ahead.
SROM 2026 reinforced Moniepoint’s aggressive push to build a performance–driven retail banking powerhouse, sharpening leadership competence, redefining operational mindset and positioning its retail officers as outcome-focused growth champions across Nigeria.
