The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has commended the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for fulfilling his promise to construct the major Aiyepe Road leading to the Sagamu Local Government Secretariat, describing him as a promise keeper who delivers on his word.
Speaking during interview with newsmen on Monday in his office at the secretariat, Odulate recalled that at the end of Governor Abiodun’s first term in office, he pledged to rehabilitate and construct key roads across the state, including the access road to the council secretariat, a crucial route linking the seat of the local government with several adjoining communities.
“Today, we are proud to say that His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has kept his promise. The construction of this road is not just a campaign pledge fulfilled, but a proof to his administration’s dedication to grassroots development. The road has greatly enhanced access to the Sagamu Local Government Secretariat, boosted commercial activities, and improved the movement of goods and services across our local communities,” Odulate said.
In addition to the newly almost completed secretariat road, Odulate listed other major roads within Sagamu that have recently received government attention, including the Oba Erinwole road, Ajegunle road, among others.
“These infrastructural projects collectively demonstrate Governor Dapo Abiodun’s steadfast commitment to transforming every part of Ogun State. His emphasis on road development as a driver of economic growth is commendable. As a Local Government, we are complementing these efforts by rehabilitating several inner roads within our wards to ease movement for our people,” Odulate added.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to partnering with the State Government to sustain the pace of development in Sagamu, assuring residents that more community-oriented projects are underway.
Ogbeni Odulate also expressed profound appreciation to Governor Abiodun for his inclusive and people-centered governance style, stating that the people of Sagamu will continue to support his administration as it drives the Gateway State toward greater prosperity.
