A tragic incident occurred in Oba-Ile, Osun State, on July 15, 2025, at approximately 8:05 p.m., when 30-year-old Sodiq Eniola, suspected to be a drug addict, allegedly k!lled three children with a machete.
According to security analyst, Zagazola Makama, the attack took place at the compound of Mr. Ganiyu Bamidele in Ese Ola’s compound.
Eniola reportedly entered Bamidele’s wife’s shop, where the couple’s three children were sleeping, and fatally attacked them.
Police from Oba-Ile Division responded promptly to a distress call but arrived to find an angry mob attempting to lynch Eniola.
Despite efforts to intervene, the suspect sustained severe injuries and d!ed while being transported to the hospital.
