Gunmen Attack Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Family Home In Kogi

In the early hours of Tuesday, unknown gunmen stormed the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Ihima, located in the Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Eyewitnesses reported that at least three armed men arrived around 1:00 a.m., wielding cutlasses and guns, and launched an attack on the building.

They smashed windows, damaged parts of the structure, and created panic in the quiet community.

Following the incident, Yakubu Ovanja, the senator’s Chief Security Officer, alerted security operatives.

Officers from the Okehi Police Division quickly responded and arrived at the scene shortly after.

While no casualties were reported and no arrests have been made, a preliminary investigation has been launched. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District, is yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident. The attack comes amid recent media attention surrounding her sexual harassment allegation against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
