ABS Ilorin FC U-19 secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Joecas Academy in their Nigeria National U-19 Youth League Matchday eight fixture held at the New Jos Stadium in Jos, Plateau State on Tuesday, 19th November 2024.
The Young Saraki Boys dominated the game, with Muhydeen Abdulraheem opening the scoring in the 24th minute. Substitute Amosa Kawo increased the lead in the 66th minute, while Johnson Akintola sealed the win with a brace in the 84th and 88th minute.
Coach Toafeeq Babatunde praised his team's hard work and determination, stating that ABS Ilorin FC is an institute for football development where the boys are always prepared.
"ABS Ilorin FC is an institute for football development. The boys are always prepared so despite the stress from the journey we were still able to get the results due to their readiness.
Though, we lost some players to Fatigue that we had to make four changes in the first half but we were still able to get the results which is our biggest win so far."
On Plateau United and Mighty Jets he said, "We will approach the games with the same mindset and hopefully we can get the results".
The team has moved up on the log with twelve points after eight games played so far.
They will file out against Plateau United U-19 on Wednesday, 20th and Mighty Jets on Thursday, 21st November 2024 for their match eleven and twelve fixtures brought forward due to logistics issues.
