Olumuyiwa Fajimi, the Chairmanship Aspirant for Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, has vowed to reverse the trend of poverty and underdevelopment pervading the local government.
Fajimi made he vow during an interview with newsmen in Abeokuta on Friday, where he outlined his vision for the local government.
According to him, If elected his administration will prioritize the training and retraining of workers to ensure they are equipped to deliver quality services.
"Improvement in the working and living conditions of staff will also be a top priority, he said."
Fajimi emphasized that road construction and development will receive priority attention, noting that a network of roads is a catalyst for rapid socio-economic development of rural communities.
He also promised to prioritize other critical sectors, including water supply, agriculture, healthcare delivery, and education.
The APC chairmanship aspirant assured that he would strive hard to live up to expectations in the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people.
Fajimi called on the youths and the entire people of Abeokuta North local government to come out en masse to support him to achieve his vision.
He promised to work tirelessly to ensure that the local government is transformed and that the people are empowered to reach their full potential.
His words " More jobs still need to be done because provision of infrastructure are things that need continuous attention.
" I am offering myself for a better transformation of Abeokuta North Local Government Area. I want to step in as the next chairman.
" I have observed that the health facilities available at the moment are not enough to cater for the health needs of the people.
"So, we will ensure that we have more health centres in each community .
"I can't do anything without my principal, which is the Governor, so I will work hand in hand with my Governor to bring more developments to my local government.
" We will also look into roads, education, sports, security and others. In fact, we are on a pure transformation mission.
"And, at the appropriate time, the people will see and understand the reason I am coming to serve them."
Fajimi is a grassroot man he understand the language of his people even without them saying anything.
His vision for Abeokuta North is to create a prosperous and sustainable community, where everyone has access to basic amenities and opportunities for growth.
Olumuyiwa Fajimi's leadership will bring about a new era of prosperity and development in Abeokuta North.
