The Ondo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu has congratulated the Osemawe of Ondo, Oba (Dr) Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo CFR, on this year annual ogun festival in the city, which holds between 6th and 7th of this month.


The Commissioner equally congratulated all the indigenes of the city especially the Ogun worshippers as they hold the festival in a glamorous way, urging them to use the avenue to pray for the continual peace and progress of the city, the state and the whole country at large.


He further enjoined them to conduct themselves in a peaceful and harmonious manner that is devoid of any form of violence in the course of the celebration, stressing that the essence of any festival is to rejoice and pray fervently for the goodness and favour of God.


Otunba Akinlosotu appreciated the monarch and the people of the city for promoting cultural festivals.


The Commissioner reiterated that the Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN - led administration in the state will continue to respect the culture of the land and provide rooms for traditional festivals to thrive which are in tandem with his administration's  vision of preserving the cultural heritage of the state as encapsulated in the REDEEMED agenda.



He wished the monarch and the entire people a peaceful and joyous celebration.
