Despite the strong opposition party in Ife constituency, Hon Rotimi Makinde delivered Ife constituency to All Progressives Congress, APC in the today gubernatorial election in Osun State.
It's worthy to note that the deputy governorship candidates of People's Democratic Party, PDP is also from the ward, also we have the likes of Prof. Wale Ladipo and Adewusi, Makinde still strive hard to deliver the ward with a glaring victory according the the results declared by Independent National Electoral Commission INEC returning officer assigned to the polling unit.
Prof. Wale Ladipo and PDP deputy gov candidate voted in unit 1 and Unit 2 opposite Ooni's palace where Rotimi Makinde also voted.

Makinde shortly after the declaration of the result appreciated the people of Ife for their unflinching the ove for Governor Isiaka Oyetola by voting him to continue the infrastructure development projects in the state.
In the same vein, he urged the voters to ensure they protect their votes after casting them and shun vote buying by the opposition party, People's Democratic Party, PDP with their plans to un-sit the incumbent governor of Osun state.
He maintained that the election process was credible without any records of violence in the Ife wards.
