ABEOKUTA— The defunct chairman of All Progressives Congress APC, Oke—Ogun Community in Abeokuta North area of Ogun State, Alhaji Ahmed Taiwo has distanced self from settlement after he was removed as the chairman of the community after getting clear picture of party recognition according to All Progressives Congress, APC constitution. 

Chief Hammed Taiwo while responding to the alleged settlement said, "I noticed that their motives is to ensure that former transition chairman of Abeokuta Notth, Tella emerge from Oke—Ogun through the backdoor, I strongly maintained that i won't be part of such. Even the so called Oke—Ogun APC community meeting is neither recognize by APC constitution nor any law of Nigeria.. Then why the stress? I am aware that we still have 2 Aspirant from Oke Ogun vying for Assembly, namely Hon Shokunle Owolabi Nias and Tunde Tella himself while others are from other communities such as Gbagura,Oke-ona and Owu and there is a clear directives by the party National sectariat that it's either direct or indirect method so why will Oke-Ogun decide the faith of the entire Abeokuta North?...." He said.

He withdrew from any form of side settlement and refused to be returned as the chairman of the community during a meeting called yesterday by the APC chairperson Abeokuta North Alhaja Faidat Sarumi at party sectariat Sokori where he said he is good without being the chairman. 

Our correspondent reports that the APC community chairmanship in Oke-Ogun has been politically hijacked to actualize the dreams of some set of aspirants with the believe that the chairman of the community development has the potential of giving them automatic ticket to contest.

Chief Ifekayode Akinbode, the Consultant to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun on communication was reliably gathered to have taken over from Chief Ahmed Taiwo after he was impeached by the power hunger leaders in the APC community with the purpose of installing their choice of candidates comes 2023. 

"I don't want to continue to head Oke-Ogun APC community because what they want me to do is clearly against the party regulations and the APC party constitution does not recognize a community party executives" Said Alhaji Ahmed.

Meanwhile, Chief Ahmed Taiwo was said to have respectfully withdrew from the settlement and embrace party constitution as supremacy to prevail.
