The Ogun State-owned So-Safe Corps have apprehended one David Ignatius and Michael for involving in attempted defilement of the victim (name withhold) at 0730:00hrs on Tuesday, 1st. February, 2022.
According to a press release issued from the office of the State Commander of Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf said that, the culprits, David Ignatius and Micheal were caught while the team of the Corps were on routine patrol dragging the girl into the bush having jointly agreed to defile and as well to eliminate the victim in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area.
One of the suspects David Ignatius was arrested by Men of So-Safe, Iro Division led by Superintendent of Corps Amidu Odetayo in the bush in Mosadomi axis, along Papalanto-Sagamu Road, the scene of the crime while other suspect escaped arrest.
At the scene of the incident, a cutlass and knife were found and collected and the victim was rescued unhurt.
The apprehended suspect David Ignatius and the exhibit found at the scene of the crime were transferred to Nigeria Police Obafemi Owode Divisional Headquarters for further Investigation and likely prosecution.
