Member, Oyo Local Government Service Commission, Hon John Adisa Oke Ph.D has, in his magnanimity launched his annual multimillion naira scholarship for NCE program and four borehole drills to communities in Ogbomoso.

Oke who revealed this on Monday during an official declaration to run for House of Representatives, Ogbomoso North, South and Orire reiterated his commitment to the development of Ogbomoso and Governor Seyi Makinde’s re-election bid.

He met with local excos at the Ogbomoso North PDP Secretariat Ajagungbade building and promised that all good things he is known for will continue and be enjoyed by all indigents.

According to him, “Everyone knew about my contributions in the past and will not relent in that effort but continue to work for the success of PDP in Ogbomoso and re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde for second term.

“I’m delighted to be launching a hundred slots of scholarship for Ogbomoso youth and 4 boreholes drilling at any selected communities in Ogbomoso South, North, and Oriire Local Government including my Ward, Alasa.”

Oke who obtained the party’s nomination form in 2019 but didn’t get the party nomination still worked tiredlessly for the party success, noted that about 70 youths yearly benefit from his educational empowerment scheme likewise churches, mosques, royal fathers and associations have benefited in the past and recently in 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively.








He explained that this year beneficiaries will cut across wards in Ogbomoso North, South and Orire, adding that 70 slots for Ogbomoso Youths in general and 30 automatic slots for the PDP youths across his constituency which according to him is the major way to eradicate poverty in the community.

He stressed that the gesture is one of the major ways private sectors can complement the efforts of the government led by Governor Makinde who is investing massively in the educational sector and has always make annual budget of about 20% on education. “This, however, signifies that the government prioritize education.”

While presenting public address system to women wings of the party for campaign at the secretariat, Oke submitted that he will support whatever decision the party take as a party man as he respect the party supremacy the way he has always done in the past.

Speaking, the party Chairman, Hon. Ogunlade commended Hon Oke for his continuous giant stride towards human capacity and development for Ogbomoso youth without any form of discrimination.


Ogunlade said that everyone know his contribution in the party and how he worked for the party success in the last election. He prayed that God grant his desires for the good people of Ogbomoso and Oyo State at large.
