Makinde bares his mind in commemoration of his birthday coming up January 3rd. In his usual self, makinde who is in joyful mood was full of praises for clocking yet another year.He speaks on numbers of sundries issues :
Hon. Rotimi Makinde, the former House of Representatives member for Ife Federal Constituency, Osun State, has reacted to the call on Pastor E.A Adeboye of the General Overseer of Redeem Christian Church Of God (RCCG) by some lawmakers from Osun state.

The former deputy chairman, Human Rights Committee in the 7th Assembly has described Pastor Adeboye as the only qualified person in the state that can brokered peace.

"To those who may not know I have taken this case to Pastor Adeboye almost a year ago through Oba Owolola, the Adimula of Ifewara, I hold the title of Mayegun Of Ifewara for the past 20 years and long before my venturing into the murky water of politics. I have always been an apostle of peace, I have written more than 100 articles appealing for peace and I have been analysing the implications of working against peace in the land, on radio and TV I have been appealing for peace. I have noticed how we allow this unnecessary grievance to go this far, I have noticed the fear of some people and why they keep fuelling the matters," Hon Makinde revealed in his statement with pressmen

"Too many people who  are bootlicking to both camps are not helping matters. I also recognise how the like of me is being mislabelled, misjudged and called name only because I become an apostle of peace"

"I recognise the importance of our party success, I recognised the role of Aregbesola in my political sojourn, I have a utmost love and respect for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, i can see his noble achievements here and there. Despite his success, I am not comfortable with the stand of many followers and the state of the heart of our party. I can't forget how we labour for this party, we all played tremendous role in the past and I am sad by the manner we are careless about the fast approaching election. We were washing our dirty linens on radio,TV and on social medias and taken our fight to enemies dens. I am sad."

He siad Pastor Adeboye by call truly has a role to play in this issues of political unrest in the state.

"Baba Adeboye is not a politician but he is eminently qualified as an elder, indigenes of osun state and as someone who can never be biased to speak the truth on this matter

"About a year ago, I sought the surport of Oba Owolola to help present the case as it was to the most respected man of God, i did because I noticed almost everybody in Osun had taken side and drew the battle lines on this matter.

"Today, I am happy to read that some legislators shared in my dream and taken the matter to the man of God.. With peace we can progress as a party," Hon Makinde said.
