The Management of Federal College of Education (FCE), Abeokuta has announced that her students should resume for the 2019/2020 second semester academic session as from Monday, January 18th, 2021.

This is in line with the directive of the Federal Ministry of Education that all institutions should resume academic activities as from January 18th, 2021 across the country.

In a memo dated January 15th, 2021 and signed by the college Registrar, Dr. Adedayo Adebayo, stated that all students of the college in 100, 200 and 300 levels are to resume on the said date.

Also, the registrar stated, “Arising from the foregoing, all returning students are to ensure full and strict compliance with the COVID-19 protocols including compulsory wearing of facemasks by all students; observance of social distancing; frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizers.

“Adherence to all other non-pharmaceutical protocols, restrictions and containment measures as may be prescribed/approved by the Presidential Tax Force on COVID-19 from time to time.

“In addition, all students are to put on their identity cards on campus for ease of identification and security. All staff and students are equally enjoined to cooperate with the authority in its effort to safeguard and keep the college free from the COVID-19 pandemic and security threats.

“The college management warmly welcomes all students back to the College and wishes all a successful and peaceful session.”
