NANS Charges VGN On Proactivess

 Abeokuta  - National Association of Nigerian Students NANS has charges Vigilante Group of Nigeria on proactives, The Deputy Coordinator of the leadership of Nigerian Students in Southwest Geopolitical Zone (NANS Zone D) led student leaders to the Ogun State Command of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria under the leadership of Commander Nureni Olanrewaju Adedoyin to discuss some security issues and tips ahead the reopening of our campuses throughout the nation.

The Deputy Coordinator, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman also took along to the Vigilante Command the Anti-Rape Campaigners to campaign against the evil and dastard act. 

The Assistant Commander of the state command in person of Commander Odogun Olubanjo received the leadership of NANS Southwest Zone on behalf of the State Commander who is unavoidably absent.

The leader of the delegation thereby gave the secretariat speech and gave a brief introduction about the organization and her tiers. He explained the reason of the visitation which is to familiarize the leadership of NANS Southwest Zone with the national security group and also took to the security group the campaign against rape and other social menace perpetrated by unscrupulous elements to our students under our leadership.

The Deputy Coordinator, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman commended the efforts of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) in Ogun State and also charge them to do more.

The Assistant State Commander, Odogun Olubanjo expressed his gratitude to the visiting student leaders and appreciated the Governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR for his support in fighting insecurity in the Gateway state.

The security Commander thereby charged female students to be careful of how they dress as their appearance is also one of the major causes of rape. He also charged male Nigerian students to be careful of the drugs they take as the side effects are also one of the reasons for raping the opposite sex. He also gave some security tips that may safeguard the generality of students in their respective hostels such as switching off the light before sleeping and also keeping their gadgets safe before going to bed.

The Publicity Secretary of the Command gave the vote of thanks.

On the convoy of the Deputy Coordinator was Comrade Kanefe Anthony, the Chief Security Officer; Director of Logistics, Comrade Oshodi Olayinka; Director of Basic Education, Comrade Yusuf Wasiu; Director of Strategy and Planning, Comrade Adeosun Damilola; PA Special Duties, Comrade Salako Olawale; Comrade Eniola, Director of Photography and Comrade Ipese Oluwagbemi from Lagos State University (LASU).
