A 35 year old man, Mr Fidelis Azuka has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command for hiring assassins to kill his pregnant wife and their 3 year old daughter
Mr Fidelis was arrested by detectives attached to Area J Police Command, after one of the hired assassins, Okon Anyim was apprehended and he named Fidelis as the person who contracted him to kill pregnant wife and the baby belong none belongs to him and they are only using him
Okon was arrested while trying to break into Mrs Amaka apartment at.
Meanwhile, during investigation, it was discovered that one of those he hired for the botched assassination was a transport driver simply identified as Okon.
Okon in his confession said he was contracted by Mr Fidelis to kill his wife and the baby with the agreement to pay him 300,000 because he discovered the child doesn’t belong to him
I involved my friend, Efe for the operation and we both went there and hid inside a tricycle, waiting for Mrs Amaka
Efe who was supposed to kill her went to get cigarettes and by the time he got back, Mrs had gone back inside and shut the gate, so we went back home because i will be leaving for Abia the following day. So out of frustration i decided to break into the house and kill her, because if I don’t get the job done that day, it will be given out to someone else and I really needed the money, as i jumped into his compound through the fence, somebody raised alarm which attracted members of a vigilante in the area, who apprehended me.
Mr Fidelis confessed to the crime by sending hired assassin to eliminate his wife and the baby after discovering the child and her second pregnancy belongs to another man.
Mrs Amaka Azuka confessed the child does not belong to Fidelis and her second pregnancy also does not belong to Fidelis, “ it belongs to my boyfriend, we are only using him to take care of ourselves and the get him pay our bills. Our plan is to run away with the kids and some of his properties.
