Following the recent ban on motorcycles and tricycles by Lagos state government which has left Lagosians lamenting on the long distance they had to cover with their legs, The Lagos state government has come up with a mini shuttle that will ease Lagosians through the stress of trekking distances instead of endangering their lives with motorcycles popularly known as “Okada”.
Well, Lagosians have reacted with different opinions. While some expressed relief at the intervention of the new shuttle buses, some thought it was an enterprising avenue between the government and a billionaire.
A twitter user with the handle @OlisaOsega expressed that “I think the government should partner with some individuals and private organizations, get these in large quantities, give it to those who were affected by the keke and okada ban at subsidized rates. That will ease the sufferings those guys are experiencing at the moment”.
Well, with the new Lagos movement, we all hope it provides a satisfactory aid to everyone.
