Edo Guber: Oshiomole Finally Rejected Iyanmu As Candidate

All Progressives Congress(APC) National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has finally rejected the candidacy of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as the governor of Edo State come later this year.

We gathered that the former Edo State Governor was forced to face the reality of the time after he was convinced by party loyalists that Ize-Iyamu may not be the best man for the job.

The APC supporters warned Oshiomhole that Ize-Iyamu will not be loyal to him and the ruling party in the state if he becomes the governor.

The party loyalists told Oshiomhole that Ize-Iyamu who was the governorship candidate of rival Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the last election in 2016 may be worse than incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki who is giving him running battle for his money.

"The issue now is that we have told Oshiomhole that the name Ize-Iyamu does not fly. Party faithfuls told him to rethink.

"So as at yesterday, Oshiomhole has backed out from supporting Ize-Iyamu and we shall soon tell you our choice that will fly APC's ticket in Edo," he told us.

He also ruled out reconciliation between Oshiomhole and Obaseki.

"Light and darkness can never meet, forget about reconciliation," he said.
