The political mobilisation train of Ogun Veterans for YAYI has gathered momentum ahead of the 2027 Ogun State governorship election, following its engagement with women residents of Owode Yewa Community, where the group canvassed support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI.

The mobilisation exercise, according to the group, was aimed at rallying women in the community behind Senator Adeola's governorship ambition and securing their commitment to support his aspiration to become the next Governor of Ogun State in 2027.

The team led by Veteran Colonel Aretola Nathaniel and other executives members who mobilized women and families of all ex-service men in all the communities within Ogun state.

According to the Convener, Professor Ayodeji Agboke MPSN, MNAPA, The initiative forms part of the group's broader political mobilisation strategy to take the YAYI message to communities across the state, particularly community settlements with significant populations of serving and retired military personnel, their families and other residents.

However, Veterans Col Aretola Nathaniel also said, Ogun Veterans for YAYI mobilisation activities have also extended to other communities across Ogun State, where the team has been engaging residents and canvassing support for Senator Adeola's governorship ambition.

The group is apparently positioning the communities as important grassroots constituencies in its efforts to expand political awareness, encourage participation and consolidate support for the senator ahead of the 2027 polls.

The outreach to women at Owode Yewa, Lafenwa and Alamala Communities also underscores the importance of women in grassroots political mobilisation, considering their influence within families, neighbourhood associations and community-based networks.

By taking its campaign directly to the people, Ogun Veterans for YAYI is seeking to strengthen its grassroots presence and establish closer relationships with residents across different communities in the state.

As political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 governorship election, the group's continued engagement with the communities is expected to form part of its efforts to promote Senator Adeola's candidacy and mobilise support for his aspiration to lead Ogun State.

The group maintained its commitment to expanding its mobilisation drive across the state, with the ultimate objective of securing widespread grassroots support for YAYI ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
