A customer at a Red Lobster restaurant in Douglas County, Georgia, has found himself behind bars after authorities said he tried to escape paying a $63 bill by pretending to be sick and calling 911.

According to authorities, Rasheed was arrested on September 24 and booked into the Douglas County Jail on allegations of theft of services and unlawful conduct during a 911 call. He is being held on a $3,000 bond.

Law enforcement sources said Rasheed had finished a $63 meal at the restaurant before allegedly deciding that he would rather not settle the bill.

Authorities said he then called 911 and claimed he was unwell while requesting medical assistance, hoping the situation would help him avoid paying for the meal.

When emergency responders arrived, they found he was perfectly fine but unwilling to pay for his meal. Instead of an ambulance trip to the hospital, he got a VIP ride in the back of a police car to Douglas County Jail.
