A three-storey building located in Wuse Zone 4 of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has collapsed.

At the time of this report, no casualty had been recorded in the incident, which occurred on Monday evening.

Lere Olayinka, media aide to Nyesom Wike, the FCT minister, who provided an update on the building collapse, said a rescue operation was under way at the site.

According to him, officials of the FCT Fire Service had arrived at the scene, adding that three ambulances had also been stationed in the area to provide emergency medical assistance.

Olayinka told TheCable that occupants of the building were earlier on Monday issued a quit notice by the FCTA’s department of development control after the structure had shown signs of distress.
