ABEOKUTA – The Ogun State Commander of the So-Safe Corps, Cmdr. (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, FCAI, FIIM, FISN, has reaffirmed that effective security can only be achieved through strong collaboration among security agencies and active support from members of the public.
Ganzallo made this known while receiving members of the Ogun State Military, Police and Paramilitary Public Relations Officers' Forum (MILPOPROOF) during a courtesy visit to his office at the So-Safe Corps Headquarters in Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta.
The meeting, held on July 27, 2026, brought together Public Relations Officers from various security agencies across Ogun State alongside members of the management team of the So-Safe Corps. The visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship among security agencies and promoting greater cooperation in information management and public communication.
Welcoming the delegation, the Director of Information and Public Relations of the So-Safe Corps, ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi, described the State Commander as an accomplished administrator and seasoned public relations expert whose contributions have earned him both national and international recognition.
Adegbuyi noted that Cmdr. Ganzallo was the pioneer image-maker of the So-Safe Corps and has continued to distinguish himself through professionalism, visionary leadership and commitment to excellence.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, the Chairman of MILPOPROOF, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, appreciated the State Commander for receiving members of the forum and acknowledged the cordial relationship that exists among security agencies in Ogun State.
He explained that the synergy enjoyed by the heads of various security agencies has been replicated among their Public Relations Officers, making it easier to coordinate information, promote professionalism and project a unified image of the security architecture in the state.
Babaseyi also commended ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi, who serves as Secretary of the forum, for his dedication and invaluable contributions to the successes recorded by MILPOPROOF since its establishment.
In his remarks, Cmdr. Ganzallo stressed that no single security agency could effectively tackle security challenges alone, noting that collaboration, intelligence sharing and mutual support remain indispensable tools in combating crime.
According to him, several successful operations and crime prevention efforts in Ogun State have been made possible through effective cooperation and timely exchange of information among security agencies.
The State Commander further highlighted the strategic role of Public Relations Officers, describing them as the image builders and ambassadors of their respective organisations.
He urged members of the forum to remain professional, transparent and ethical in the discharge of their duties, noting that public perception of any security agency is largely shaped by the quality of its communication.
Ganzallo commended members of MILPOPROOF for maintaining high professional standards and encouraged them to continue promoting positive relationships between security agencies and the public.
He also emphasised the virtues of consistency, diligence and loyalty, describing them as essential ingredients for career growth and long-term success in public relations and security communication.
The meeting concluded with renewed commitments by members of the forum to sustain inter-agency cooperation, strengthen strategic communication and continue supporting efforts aimed at enhancing peace, security and public confidence across Ogun State.
Security agencies represented at the meeting included the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ogun State Fire Service, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Amotekun Corps and the Ogun State So-Safe Corps.
