The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has extended the deadline for its ongoing online admission application by one week, giving prospective candidates additional time to complete and submit their applications.
The extension, approved by the Commandant of the Academy, Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Patrick A. Atayero, MSc (UK), MBA (USA), psc, mspsp, shifts the closing date of the application portal from Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
The decision, according to the Academy, was taken to accommodate qualified applicants who experienced challenges during the registration process or were unable to complete their applications within the original timeframe.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Academy, DSP Umar Musa Isah, the Commandant urged all eligible candidates to take advantage of the extension by completing their registration well ahead of the new deadline.
He emphasized that the additional week provides a final opportunity for prospective applicants to meet the admission requirements and submit their applications without unnecessary delays.
The Academy also made it clear that no further extension would be granted after the new closing date, advising candidates to avoid last-minute registration to prevent possible technical or network-related challenges.
Prospective applicants are expected to complete their registration through the Academy's official admission portal at polac.edu.ng.
To ensure a smooth application process, the institution encouraged candidates experiencing difficulties or requiring clarification to contact the Academy through its official support channels. Applicants can send inquiries or complaints via admin@polac.edu.ng, support@polac.edu.ng, or submit their concerns through the designated online support form.
The Nigeria Police Academy is Nigeria's premier degree-awarding institution for the training of police officers, combining academic studies with professional policing and leadership development.
