ABEOKUTA – Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, is set to make history on Thursday, July 30, 2026, with the official launch of Nigeria's first enterprise-grade 10 Gigabits per second (10Gbps) Dedicated Smart Campus Network and Innovation Programme, a landmark initiative expected to redefine digital learning, research and technological innovation in the country's tertiary education sector.
The groundbreaking project, being implemented in partnership with the Advanced Technological Incubation and Research Center (ATIRC), represents a major leap in the institution's drive towards digital transformation and positions MAPOLY among the leading technology-driven higher institutions in Africa.
The commissioning ceremony is expected to attract top government officials, education stakeholders, technology experts, industry leaders, researchers, development partners, students and members of the public who will witness the unveiling of what is being described as a game-changing digital infrastructure for higher education in Nigeria.
