All the pupils and teachers abducted from Oriire in Oyo State have been rescued, according to the Presidency.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga disclosed the development in a post on X on Friday.
“Finally, all the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Oriire, Oyo have been rescued by our security agencies. One of the rescued teachers in Oyo sends a thank you message to President Tinubu and the security agencies.”
Authorities have yet to release further details on the rescue operation or the condition of those rescued.
