Prominent political leaders and stakeholders across the six local government areas of Ogun Central Senatorial District have unanimously declared their support for frontline senatorial aspirant, Emmanuel Adebola Sofela, ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The endorsement came after a high-level consultation meeting involving apex leaders from Abeokuta South, Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode, Odeda, Ifo and Ewekoro local government areas, where the aspirant popularly known as “Shoffi” was described as a compassionate, dedicated and people-oriented leader with a strong record of service to humanity.
Speaking during the meeting, several of the leaders recounted Sofela’s numerous acts of kindness and support to individuals and communities across the district, stressing that his accessibility and selfless commitment to the welfare of the people distinguish him from many politicians.
According to the leaders, Sofela has consistently demonstrated leadership qualities that resonate with the aspirations of the people, particularly through his readiness to assist those in need without discrimination.
One of the leaders at the gathering noted that Sofela’s humility and grassroots connection have endeared him to many residents across Ogun Central, adding that his style of politics is centered on service, empowerment and development.
“Many politicians only remember the people during elections, but Emmanuel Adebola Sofela has always been there for the people even before declaring his ambition. His generosity, accessibility and passion for community development are qualities we cannot ignore,” the leader stated.
The apex leaders further expressed confidence that Sofela possesses the capacity, competence and political will to effectively represent the interests of Ogun Central at the National Assembly if elected.
They maintained that the district deserves a representative who understands the challenges facing the people and is genuinely committed to attracting meaningful development projects, youth empowerment programmes and improved welfare for constituents.
The stakeholders also emphasized the need for quality representation in the Senate, saying the people of Ogun Central are prepared to support a candidate with proven integrity, vision and commitment to public service.
In his response, Sofela appreciated the leaders for their overwhelming support and confidence in his aspiration, assuring them that he would remain committed to the progress and development of Ogun Central Senatorial District.
He pledged to pursue people-centered legislation and facilitate developmental initiatives that would positively impact all communities within the district if given the mandate to serve.
The consultation meeting is believed to be part of ongoing political engagements ahead of the next electoral cycle, as support continues to grow for Sofela’s senatorial ambition across Ogun Central.
