The Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, has congratulated Chief Emmanuel Idowu Olude on his re-election as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obafemi Owode Local Government, describing the victory as a testament to dedication, loyalty, and proven grassroots leadership.

Chief Olude’s return for a second term followed the successful conduct of the APC Local Government Congress, which party stakeholders widely described as peaceful, transparent, and reflective of strong internal democracy. The congress reportedly witnessed the active participation of party leaders and stakeholders across the twelve wards of the local government area.

In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, Amb. Ogunsola praised Chief Olude’s unwavering commitment to the progressive ideals of the party, noting that his selfless leadership and enduring sacrifices had earned him the confidence and unanimous endorsement of party faithful.

“An unwavering dedication and loyalty to a noble progressive cause are distinguished characteristics of a selfless leader,” Ogunsola stated. “These good qualities have remained recognized, and the enduring sacrifices have paid off.”

He noted that under Olude’s leadership, the party experienced notable growth, development, and effective grassroots mobilization across the twelve wards of Obafemi Owode Local Government. According to him, these efforts contributed significantly to the party’s performance in previous elections.

Speaking on behalf of the people of the local government, the council chairman described Olude as a man of peace whose leadership had fostered unity and cohesion within party ranks. He expressed satisfaction with the emergence of Olude and his executive members, voicing optimism that the new term would consolidate the existing peace and further enhance productivity and service delivery within the party structure.

Ogunsola also pledged his administration’s readiness to collaborate closely with the re-elected chairman and his executive committee to promote the interests of the APC and strengthen its dominance in the area.

I assure the APC Chairman of my support and willingness to work together with the new executives in advancing the cause of our great party in Obafemi Owode,” he affirmed.

The chairman further prayed for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the party leadership as they embark on a new phase of service and democratic consolidation. He called on party members and stakeholders to rally behind Olude and his team, urging them to intensify mobilization efforts ahead of the forthcoming federal and state elections.

With renewed calls for unity and collective responsibility, party faithful echoed the Yoruba slogan, “Igbega Ipinle Ogun, ajose gbogbo wa ni” — meaning the development of Ogun State is a collective responsibility.

Observers note that the smooth conduct of the congress and the seamless re-election of Chief Olude underscore the APC’s efforts to maintain cohesion and strategic preparedness at the grassroots level as the political landscape gradually shifts toward the next round of elections.
