
The Vice President is leading a high-powered federal government delegation on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to pay last respects to the revered cleric, who passed away at the age of 101 after a lifetime dedicated to Islamic scholarship, spiritual leadership, and the promotion of peace and moral values.

During the visit, the Vice President will offer condolences to the deceased’s family, the global Tijjaniyya Islamic Movement, and the Muslim Ummah, while praying for the repose of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s soul and divine comfort for all those grieving his passage.
Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi was widely revered for his deep knowledge of Islam, humility, and decades of mentorship that influenced millions of followers within and outside Nigeria.
