In a significant setback for insurgent, troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) killed over 50 terrorists while thwarting multiple coordinated attacks on military positions across Borno and Yobe States.
The assaults targeted troops in Dikwa, Mafa, Gajibo, and Katarko within Sectors 1 and 2 of the Joint Operations Area, occurring between midnight and 0400 hours on Thursday.
Lt.-Col. Sani Uba, Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force North East (OPHK), stated in Maiduguri that the troops responded with professionalism and valor, successfully repelling the attacks and inflicting severe losses on the terrorists.
“Troops stood firm, fought gallantly, and delivered a decisive blow,” Uba said.
