Former Member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Rotimi Makinde, has advised party members to open their doors and welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds into the party. Makinde emphasized that the party cannot achieve its goals alone and that inclusivity is essential for success.

He stated this at a well-attended APC meeting in Ile Ife, where he canvassed for the emergence of Ife indigenes as politics gathers momentum. The meeting saw the presence of all ward chairmen, women leaders, youth leaders, and the local government party chairman, Hon Kayode Akintifonbo.

Makinde expressed his willingness to serve as coordinator should Senator Iyiola Omisore emerge as the governorship candidate for APC. He also advocated for all-inclusive participation, especially from neighboring communities, stressing that all hands must be on deck to achieve success.

This call for unity and cooperation reflects his commitment to building a broad-based party that can effectively serve the needs of the people. By embracing diversity and welcoming new members, Makinde believes the party can tap into fresh ideas, energy, and perspectives that will drive progress and development.
