Reality TV Star Porsha Williams’ Estranged Husband Simon Guobadia Deported to Nigeria After ICE Detention
Simon Guobadia, the estranged husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, has been deported to Nigeria after spending several months in ICE custody at Stewart Detention Center in Georgia.
A friend of the 61-year-old businessman confirmed that he was recently placed on a flight back to Nigeria, following his February arrest by immigration authorities. Despite the tough conditions at the detention center, Simon is said to be in “good spirits” and reportedly hopes to meet with former President Donald Trump.
Guobadia is no longer listed in the custody records of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Since his return, he’s launched a T-shirt line aimed at supporting others affected by ICE detentions.
Having first arrived in the U.S. in 1982, Simon overstayed his visa on two occasions, which prevented him from obtaining U.S. citizenship.
With his deportation finalized, his ongoing divorce from 43-year-old Porsha Williams who filed in February 2024 after 15 months of marriage will now proceed remotely via video. Legal proceedings had been repeatedly delayed due to his time in custody.
