In reaction to the scuffle erupted at Eredo Community of Obafemi Owode Local Government recently on the activities of land grabbers nearing causing mayhem in the area, the Executive Chairman, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA has called for immediate investigation into the matter, as he has swiftly set up a committee of enquiry to investigate the root cause of the crisis as reported by an online publications.
The council boss has summoned the Baale, Chief Rasak Amujara, the two factions and other leaders in the community to the council secretariat in Owode-Egba for a lasting solution.
Amb. Ogunsola therefore charged the Nigerian Police Force, Area Command Owode Egba Division, and other security agencies in the council area to arrest and charge to court any individual or groups willing to disrupt the existing tranquility in the community, as the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON had read a riot act that no individual should foment trouble on any land related matter, as the state government reserves the authorization of all lands in Ogun State.
He therefore enjoined the good people of Eredo Community and its environs to go on their normal businesses, maintain peace and tranquility ,as the local government is on top of the situation.
