
Former Nigerian Senator and Minister of Education, Professor Jibril Aminu, has died at the age of 85 after a prolonged illness.
He passed away on Wednesday in Abuja, leaving behind a legacy as a respected cardiologist, diplomat, and statesman.
Professor Aminu served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the United States from 1999 to 2003, and later represented Adamawa Central in the Senate from 2003 to 2011.
He is survived by two wives and nine children.
