National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ajibola Basiru, says he was not in talks with former Governor Rauf Aregbesola to support a joint political interest.
A statement by the spokesperson of his campaign organisation, described the reports as false.
He said claims that the APC National Secretary reached out to Aregbesola for reconciliation and possible alliance were baseless.
It further emphasized that such a move was unimaginable, particularly as Aregbesola was no longer a member of the APC.
Basiru is one of the aspirants seeking the party’s ticket ahead of the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August next year.
