Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has congratulated Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, the 21st Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom, on marking 15 years on the throne.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, the governor commended the monarch’s visionary leadership and his commitment to community service.
“Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi is a visionary and vibrant monarch who has distinguished himself in community service as a committed, devoted, selfless and passionate leader and traditional ruler,” Sanwo-Olu remarked. He praised the Oba’s development policies, which have contributed significantly to the kingdom’s transformation into a hub for real estate and entertainment.
The governor noted that Oba Elegushi’s reign has been characterized by peace and growth, making Ikate-Elegushi a destination of choice for investors and residents alike. He further acknowledged the monarch’s role within the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs, which bridges governance and community mobilization.
Sanwo-Olu concluded by praying for the monarch’s continued reign of peace and prosperity, expressing confidence that he will witness many more successful years on the throne.
