The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a slight adjustment to the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) schedule.
The exam will now begin on Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the previously scheduled Friday, April 25, 2025.
This update was made public in a statement signed by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, and posted on the Board’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday.
“The change in date was made to accommodate critical commitments involving the Board and its technical partners,” the statement explained.
As part of preparations, candidates can begin printing their Examination Notification Slips today, Saturday, April 19, 2025. These slips include vital information such as the exam date, venue, time, and important instructions.
To print the slip, candidates should:
- Visit www.jamb.gov.ng
- Click on ‘2025 UTME Slip Printing’
- Enter their registration number
- Click ‘Print Examination Slip’
Candidates are strongly encouraged to visit their examination centres at least a day or two ahead to avoid any last-minute challenges.

- No candidate will be assigned a centre outside their selected examination town.
- The UTME starts on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
- Print slips early for a smooth experience on the exam day.
