Uproar In Abeokuta South APC As 7 Councillorship Aspirants In Ward 01 Ake Rejects Kangaroo Primary, Accuses their leaders of bias intentions



......Accuses APC leaders of bias on selection of delegates to vote for the election increasing to 50 all of a sudden.





As the internal crisis in All Progressives Congress APC, deepens, Seven out of 10 Aspirants have backed out and rejected conducting of unconstitutional primary election on the basis of increasing of numbers of delegates to determine the fate of the councillorship candidate to fifty 50 by the party leaders to contest in the November 2024 local government election. 


The Aspirants who rejected the conducting of the primary were Hon OLANREWAJU ORIJA Atanda, Akinbile BAMIDELE, Sulaimon Yussuf Omolaja, Samod Akinola SOLOTAN, Taofeek SOWEMIMO, Adenekan GANIU, Adeniji omotolani Khadijat respectively.


The Aspirants, While stressing further with AMEBO NEWSPAPERS NG., highlighted that during the 2023 general election that produced candidate for the house of Representatives seat, 75 delegates was adopted, while 35 delegates voted for House of Assembly candidate of the party, they questioned why 50 delegates were adopted to determine the fate of the councillorship candidate in the year 2024 if not that their is bias and selfishness on the part of the All Progressives Congress APC leaders in Abeokuta South Local Government.


The Aspirants called on Chief Yemi Sanusi, Chairman of All Progressives Congress APC in Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, The Executive Governor of Ogun state and other party executives to come to their rescue before things go out of hand. 

"We call on Chief Yemi Sanusi and Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun to come to our aid before these APC leaders in ward 01 destroyed the party with their selfish intentions all in the name of moneybag politics" Says the Aspirants.

Our efforts to reach the party ward chairman to get his side of the story proof abortive after waiting for 24 hours but his phone number keeps telling us not reachable.

Reacting to the information, The Councillorship Screening Committee Chairman, Obayomi Sowande said the information from the aggrieved persons is totally wrong that the aspirants were screened yesterday and they joyfully interacted and they even entertained the committee members after the screening yesterday.
