He described the emergence of Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde as a great achievement for Oyo state and the nation at large.
“Indeed, this is a recognition of the trust and confidence that your colleagues reposed in you to lead and represent them. On behalf of the people of Ibadan North West Local Government, Ward 7 , I wish him all the best as he takes on this new responsibility,” stated Adetoro “I have no doubt that he will bring his wealth of experience, leadership skills, and commitment to the service of the people to bear in this new role.”
Also, He congratulated Gov. Engr. Seyi Makinde for successfully commissioning of Abuja Oyo house and the second term inauguration coming up on Monday.
Meanwhile, Mr AbdulRazaq of Kwara state emerged as NGF’s new chairman, while Engr Seyi Makinde emerged as his Vice, by consensus at a closed-door meeting of the governors in Abuja on Tuesday.
AbdulRazaq succeeds outgoing Governor Aminu Tambuwal, who became the forum’s chairman in 2022.
Ex-Governor Kayode Fayemi was the substantive chairman of the NGF until his second term in office ended in 2022, paving the way for Mr Tambuwal, his deputy, to succeed him.
