......Condemned the mal-administration of Chief Anthony Olaiwola Oliyide, Oluwo Igbore and Chief Anthony Olubanwo Abidemi Ogunseyeas Apena Igbore
The leaders of Igbore Asa in Egbaland has inaugurated 13-men committee to work on bringing development, peace keeping in the community today 10th of January, 2023.The thirteen men committee was selected from the chiefs and interested people from each compound to maintain neutrality and balance.
There was a large tunout of indigenes of Igbore township and homesteads trooped out to the one day conference of the CONGRESS OF IGBORE INDIGENES held on Tuesday 10h January, 2023 in Igbore Town Hall., Igbore, Abeokuta to look at activities of Igbore yesterday, what is happening today and chart a new cause for a better tomorrow towards bringing peace, progress and development to Igbore township. homesteads and its citizenry.
The congress was a follow-up to the removal of Chief Anthony Olaiwola Oliyide as Oluwo Igbore and Chief Anthony Olubanwo Abidemi Ogunseyeas Apena Igbore few days ago. The congress condemned in totality, the
maladministration and dictatorial style of headship of the deposed Oluwo Igbore with his cohorts chiefs including the former Apena Igbore; which were not the way of administration and leadership of the past leaders of the township.
In attendance during the meeting was Chief Mutiu Ololade, Chief Mutiu, Chief Dasaolu Semiu, Chief Sunday Olubodun, Chief Popoola, Chief Mrs Motunde, Chief Segun Sokeye, Chief Adeboye, Comrade Sanyaolu Oladipupo Ismail, Chief Jamiu Animasaun, Chief Alhaji Imran Taiwo -Jaguna, Chief Tajudeen Adisa Lemboye - Balogun, Chief Sanyaolu, Baales among other representatives of youths, women, traders and traditional rulers.
The congress; which was under the joint chairmanship of the Balogun Igbore and Boroji Egbaland Chief Tajudeen Lemboye and the Jagunna Igbore and Sakosi Egbaland-Chief Imran Taiwo constituted a fifteen member committee headed by the Odofin Igbore - Chief Rafiu Ogunbodede to manage affairs of Igbore township, including Lisa Igbore - Chief Akeem Oladeinde; other members were drawn from the Parakoyi, Ologun and Olorogun chiefs, Baales from the homesteads, Christians, Muslims and Traditionalists representatives, as well as representatives of the Community Development Association and the youths.
Chief Imran Taiwo while speaking with Amebo Newspapers NG correspondent, he said there is urgent need for the people of Igbore home and abroad to unite together with love, to bring more development to Igbore Asa and it's environment.
"We need to unite together to create enabling environment for developmental projects in Igbore Asa in Abeokuta, we need to revive the Igbore day celebration which was done once and since then their has been no room for it's planning..., I equally want to persuade all aggrieved parties to set aside their anger and focus on the development of our own Igbore Asa"
However, he appealed to the Oluwo of Igbore to appeal to the people as a respectable chief and move on with his plans to take Igbore to a greater height with support of the people.
The Balogun of Igbore, Chief Tajudeen Adisa Lemboye, appealed to the people to bury their anger and make themselves opened to development of Igbore areas, he said if they refused to be united, their generation yet unborn will never forgive them, most especially if during the crisis one them loose their life.
"We have come out as elder and chief of Igbore to preach peace among everyone, we cannot open our eyes to the extend of allowing the crisis to consume anyone, if we fail to put a stop to the crisis, the family of anyone that die will never forgive us, The Oluwo is an elder, which I believe he knows how to calm the people for peace to reign in Igbore, also to the youths and others, I want to appeal to you to forget about the past and move on for a better tomorrow" Chief Tajudeen Adisa Lemboye said.
