The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Hon. Ogunsola Adesina Lanre has applauded the Governor of Ogun State,Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR for putting smiles on the faces of the people of the council area with the donation of a brand new transformers to Obafemi Owode Local Government and it environs
Ambassador Ogunsola stated this on Wednesday while receiving the Honourable Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon Abayomi S. Hunye at the Local Government Secretariat in Owode Egba who stands in for the Governor of Ogun State
The Chairman also appreciates His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR., Governor, Ogun State for fulfilling his promises made during his electioneering campaign to the good people of Obafemi Owode particularly on the ongoing road construction from Siun to Ofada axis of the council area adding that motorist will get to their destinations with ease and farmers transporting their goods to various markets will be able to meet up their targets
Like an Oliver Twist ,he therefore pleaded for the provision of more transformers as these will serve various communities of the local government area
Meanwhile,The Olu Of Obafemi His Royal Highness Oba Taofeek Owolabi, while speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers in Obafemi Owode Local Government , thanked the Governor for the provision of transformer allocated to his community .
He further pleaded for the reconstruction of the linking road to Solomo town in Obafemi area of the council area
In the same vein, HRH. Oba Kolawole Sowemimo, Olu Owode, also applauded the Governor, he then appealed for the provision of yet another brand new transformers for the usage of the good people of Owode Community and its environs being the headquarters of Obafemi Owode Local Government,in order to put an end unexpected repairs of the old one at all times.
While Responding on behalf of the Ogun State Government,Hon Abayomi S. Hunye, The Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives thanked the chairman for the civic reception received from the people of the Local government,saying that Ogun State Government Will continue to identify with the Local Governments that Complements the efforts of the Government
He also stated that his visits is to carry out the Governor's work on communities requiring electricity transformers and also to assure them that more transformers will be allocated to Obafemi Owode Local Government soon.
He therefore assured the gathering that Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration is committed to making the life of the people of Ogun state better, hence the purpose of his visit to the local Government.
