The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Ogunsola Adesina Lanre has today paid a courtesy visits to Mowe, Ibafo and Redeemed  Police Divisions under Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.

 The Council Boss, stressed that the visit was born out of desire and  appreciation towards the good reports and dedication to duties he had recorded about the Police Divisions within the council area.

He therefore made it a point of duty to familiarize himself and other executive team with the Force Divisions.
Amb. Ogunsola further used the medium to bring to notice about the activities of some people parading themselves as revenue consultants of the council without any link with the local government.

" I want you to work with us as a government at the grassroot in driving the revenue generation of the council, has some people have taken pleasure in impersonating as consultants on revenue without having any contractual agreement with us at the local government"

" sincerely I can not do it alone, as it's a collective responsibility in living our society devoid of crimes"said Amb. Ogunsola.

Earlier today, SP. Afolake Afeniforo, Divisional Police Officer(DPO) Mowe Division, appreciates the Council Chairman for identifying with the force Division, she sighted some of the logistics challenges and other areas the  people selling Ware's at the divisional area, needs to be law abiding,especially  for our people to make use of the pedestrian bridge in order to safe them from accidents on the highway.

Furthermore,  CSP. Olusoji Alabi, DPO , Ibafo Police Division, who assumed duty in 2021, recalled that between the time of his assumption till now, many criminal hide outs and black spots has been put under control through constant raiding while many have been arrested , charged to court and some were transferred to the State command headquarters.

He however sighted some other challenges bothering on logistics and finance . He therefore requested for more support from the local government.

In the same vein, DPO, Redeemed Police Division, CSP. Okikiolu Agunbiade ably represented by SP. Omotoso A.O., Divisional Traffic Officer(DTO) apologized to the Chairman, for absent of his superior in person , as he went on an emergency call.

He then stressed that the division doesn't have much crime rates compared with other divisions in the area.

He thereby pointed out the rates at which some miscreants, impersonating themselves as either revenue consultants for the government or parking controller, he  appealed to council helmsman to furnish the police Division with necessary information that can help in fishing out the bad eggs in the area. 

Amongst the Chairman's entourage are, Hon. Olusesi Titus, Vice Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government , Hon. kayode Dipeolu, Secretary to Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Sofidiya, Special Adviser on Security and Intergovernmental Affairs, Hon. Noah Aliu, Special Assistant on Rural Development,  Hon. Fasanya , Consultant on Agriculture, Hon. Idowu Makinde , Special Assistant on Protocols and information crew.
