UAE president dies at 73

The UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs announced the passing away of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday.

Sheikh Khalifa, 73, was the second president of the UAE.

The Presidential Affairs Ministry announced that a period of 40 days of mourning period, starting on Friday.

The authorities suspended all works in ministries, departments, federal and local institutions, and the private sector for 3 days, starting on Friday.
