An aspirant for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Olaniyi Afeez Balogun on Sunday greets workers across the country even as he described then as the strength of the nation.
Balogun in his felicitation message to workers on the occasion of the 2022 May Day celebration, ascribed Nigeria prosperity to 'working, active and energetic' workers, spread across the length and breath of the nation.
The House of Representatives hopeful however appealed to Nigerians and Ogun state residents to use the occasion of the Workers' Day to pray for safe landing of President Buhari's administration and ensure the reelection of governor Dapo Abiodun.
Balogun, who has at different fora shown a high level of competence with abundace of experience gathered in the political terrain to run for the Abekuta South seat also appealed to workers to support Ogun APC in the 2023 elections, describing the current administration as workers friendly.
His words "Workers are the strength of our nation. They channel their strength towards developing Nigeria, hence, the need to celebrate them on a day like this.
"It is unarguably true that the stability of this nation is embedded in the active, energetic and ever working workers who believe in the nation's property, peace and tranquility.
"Any nation devoid of workers like the ones God has blessed Nigeria with only has its existence in a vacuum.
"I will like to appeal to all workers in Ogun state and in Nigeria to support and pray for the successful completion of President Buhari's administration and the reelection of governor Dapo Abiodun for second term as this is important if we truly want development to contact in our dear state."
